Meet Sheryl

Dr. Sheryl Richard is a servant-hearted change leader with a passion for whole-person health and well-being, personal and professional development, coaching, and progress over perfection. Her own journey from becoming a mother as a teenager to earning a PhD reflects the faith, hope, love, perseverance, and resilience that continue to guide her life and work.
With more than three decades of experience across higher education, federal government, corporate consulting, private practice, and community engagement, Dr. Richard brings a broad perspective grounded in learning, leadership, service, and whole-person well-being. She is a National Board Certified Health & Well-Being Coach, ICF Professional Certified Coach, and Project Management Professional. She serves in higher education leadership, mentors doctoral students, and is a training faculty member with the Wellcoaches Center of Coaching Excellence.
Dr. Richard is also the founder of Magnificent Messmaker®, an initiative rooted in authenticity, growth, and encouraging others to recognize their strength, worth, purpose, and resilience. Her memoir, Pregnant Teen to PhD – Faith… Hope… Love…: A Journey of Resilience, reflects a truth at the heart of her work: our beginnings do not define our endings.
Above all, Sheryl is a mom and grandmom who is grateful for family, friendship, faith, and the people who have walked alongside her journey.
Guided by faith, hope, and love, she invites others to:
“Bring all of who you are into all of what you do.”
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
